Frankly, I don’t think I’ve ever posted such an easy recipe. So much so that I think I’ll just let the pictures speak for themselves.
The affogato is a coffee-based Italian dessert consisting of a scoop (or several scoops) of vanilla gelato topped with a shot of espresso. It’s so simple, but I guarantee you’ll impress your guests with this one!
If you feel festive, you can even add a shot of liqueur to the mix, such as amaretto or coffee liqueur. Feel free to use other gelati flavors in your affogato, such as dark chocolate gelato, maple gelato, or coffee gelato. I’m pretty sure you can’t go wrong!

It’s an easy recipe if you have an espresso machine and are capable of pulling delicious shots of espresso or have a handy mocca pot. For everyone else it’s not so easy. If you really want a good affogato go to a legit cafe.
